Annual Report Filing in Florida

Business Services from In Balance

January 1st is the beginning of the Florida Annual Report filing season. Every business entity with an "active" status is required to file an annual report each year with the Department of State, Division of Corporations to maintain their "active" status. Did you know that every year the Florida dissolves tens of thousands of businesses for failure to file? Considering more than one million business entities file each year, the most in the United States, the number becomes quickly believable. We don't want it to happen to you, or have you pay any late fees.

In Balance will handle your annual filing and help you reduce the cost of business ownership in a multitude of ways. Give us a call for a free consultation.

If your annual report is filed after May 1st, a late fee is imposed on corporations, limited liability companies, and limited partnerships. We encourage all Florida businesses to file before the May 1st deadline so any errors can be corrected before the deadline.

The Florida Division of Corporations will normally send out the annual report forms prior to the filing date, however, the state is technically not responsible for notifying you of your need to file an annual report. It is your responsibility to file the annual report in a timely manner.

The Department of State requires notification of any changes in your Principal Place of Business and Registered Agent. Official forms are required for notifying the State of these changes and filing fees apply. Although this process is relatively easy, we take pride in making your life easier so you can focus on your business. In Balance has been helping business owners manage, protect, and grow their businesses in the State of Florida for more than 11 years. Let In Balance simplify your busy life today.
